Battenburg

Battenburg is a beautifully traditional English cake with a royal history — created as a wedding gift for Prince Louis of Battenberg and Princess Victoria, granddaughter of Queen Victoria. The cake's distinctive chequerboard pattern pays tribute to England's newest royal family member by bearing his name.

Our Battenburg is made from a light, moist Madeira-style cake, sandwiched together with raspberry jam and wrapped in a smooth almond marzipan. Every slice is a little piece of baking history.
